An experience I shall remember forever.

This is how it goes...
Our flight was supposed to be at 5:55PM.
Dum dam dum dam dum dam,at last my friend and I arrived airport at 5:30PM. Late?I guess so.:s
That's why they won't let us through,cause according to the lady at counter,the flight was fully occupied already.
She said that the latest to check-in is 30 minutes before departure.
Hmmm...but it's always been like this for me before..Arrived airport at about the same time and they would still allow me to check-in.
However this time, just like The Sims,God must have cancelled the action and decided that we need to take the longer route.
And obviously,they must have sold our seat to someone in the waiting list...You're welcome.-_-

We were left with deep frustration.I regretted for not web check-in earlier that day...

Since we missed our flight to KK,we definitely can't catch our next flight to Miri,which was a 8:55PM flight .
Yes!!We burnt two seats,one to KK,and the other was to Miri!!

So after asking around and a hard thought,we finally decided to take a bus to KK and then board on the only available flight the next morning to Miri ,which is 9:40am.Yes,we bought the tickets it on the spot.

And oh,did I mentioned that the Tawau-KK bus journey would take about 8 hours?
Holy cow.

So,first of all we took a taxi to get to the main town .
Upon arrival,we bought 2 bus tickets to KK, which leaving at 8PM.

It's my first time to take a night bus.
I was a little worried as we were not familiar with the surrounding at all. How if we don't make it?How are we gonna get to the airport upon arrival?How if we were robbed halfway? How if we get into an accident?blablabla..too much nonsense thoughts.

Even while in the bus, I perpetually awaken either by the noises made by the bus (since we were seated at the back seat, near the engine) or the annoying sudden brakes.

Made me thinking whether the driver is a qualified driver.
Seriously, I doubted if we could arrive safely.

By 12AM, the bus made it's first stop somewhere at Sri Sentosa. I seriously don't have any idea where we were since it was dark.I only get to know "Sri Sentosa" from the signboard of the eatery.
We came down for a while to get to the toilet,which is really scary as it is located underground! :O
More like a secret underground safe house where terrorist would hide. SERIOUSLY!

So the journey carried on and by 4AM,we arrived..at somewhere we don't know.
It was definitely the last stop since everyone stood up and got down.
I only get to hear from the bus conductor that the place is called "Terminal".
Of course it's the bus terminal,but which part of KK?
So once we got down,I glanced around to catch any prominent sign.
"Balai Polis Inanam" was the one that caught my attention.
At first, I thought Inanam was like another hundreds KM away from the airport.Turned out it's not when a taxi river approached us.
I told him that we need to get to the airport.
"Biasanya kami charge RM40" ,he claimed.
"Another freaking rm40??What the fishhh!!", I shouted to myself.
I was in doubt actually,whether just to take the offer or ask around again.
But when I turned to my friend ,she somehow was totally fine with it and nodded her head straight away.
I don't know either it's true or not, but she claimed that Inanam is actually quite far from the airport (Any Sabahan can confirm this?) and it was actually cheap to be offered a RM40 ride.
So we just took it,considering the state we were in that time. D-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-e

After about 20 minutes, we finally arrived at the airport.
We straight away checked-in via kiosk (Don't wanna miss our flight again!)
Then, met with the others (Denn,Dady, Syl, Gray & Kong) ,which were also spending their 'splendid' night at the airport to catch their flight that morning.Lol.

By 9:40AM,I'm so glad that we finally leaving and eventually reached home safe and sound.

Overall, I spent like RM400 for this lesson.
I guess it's more like a lesson to me rather than experience, cause it really taught me something in a painful way. Not to be overconfident that you will always make it when catching your flight..and not to even think that your dad is the pilot and will surely wait for you. (Quoted from Mum)Tsk..tsk..tsk...

Anyway,for those that asking...
I'm perfectly fine..just that...financially broken.Any help?

So it's sport week,and I decided to join badminton and tennis this time.
Just finished 2nd for badminton double earlier and oh boy,it was a straight two sets of losing for the finale match. #loser
Had fun though and being in the spotlight was freaking nervous as God knows how many pairs of eyes were watching us. Feel kinda bad for letting those people that cheered for us down.So nice of them cheering us eventhough the winner was so obvious prior to the game. Intermediate vs Advance maaa,who do you think will win?

Anyway, tennis is next and I'm just gonna do my best since I'm just a beginner.
Gonna try squash next time. Just because I wanted to ;)

*Oh ya,I'm in BLUE TEAM this year,last year was RED and I think I like this one better...just because it's my favourite colour :D
*Sleeping is getting easier and earlier recently since there is no more nap time and I used up most of the energy.

Overall,it was a good place.

How more wrong can it be

Currently,there is only one lamp functioning well in my room.FYI,each room has two.
The other day, the other one magically brighten up and not long after,it was dead again. How frustrating. Even non-living thing give false hope horrr.That's life.

Plus, the fan is like super malfunctioning. It's at full blast (3) but spinning like at the speed of 1.-_-.I think something is wrong with the motor or God&technician know what.

Plus plus,the lamp on my table is dead too.

Each time I wanna do a report on the kerosakan, the office is always close. Thing is they always close/break before the exact time. #stealbone

Plus plus plus,boxes of portfolios are piling up in my room that I hardly have space to do skipping with my skipping rope anymore .

I still have another 8 semesters to endure and each semester contributes like 4-6 portfolios. So by the end of my study here, I think I can open up a mini library already.Not to mention ,all those books we bought every semester for major subjects.

This room is so wrong.

On another note, blue eyes,dark brown hair ,heck yeah I have a caucassian cat!;p

Sad thing is,the kittens are all dead.Don't ask me why,I don't know either.Woke up one day to find out they were breathless.Yesterday,my mom texted me and reported to me that the last survivor just went missing,so I guess all are really gone now.
Hmmm...my cat just went from "mother" to "bohsia" again.

Kek Lapis Horlick

What do you need:
10 Eggs
16 Oz of butter
200gm of icing sugar
240gm of flour
200gm of Horlick
Half can of sweetened condensed milk (F&N Susu Pekat Manis)
Food colouring(Any colour will do)

Eggs and flour

Horlick

Sweetened condensed milk

Green colouring

Butter and sugar

How:
1.Mix butter and sugar together til it turns into a fluffy light yellow mix.(Sorry,didn't get to snap the picture)
2. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3.Then pour in the half can of sweetened condensed milk.

4.Flour is next into the mixture.

5.Lastly, the Horlick.

5.The main mixture is now ready!Now divide the mixture into two parts,equally.

6.Pour in just a lilttle bit of colouring in one of the mixture while the other mixture stay originally the same.

Greenish mixture

7.Bake for approx. 10 minutes at 140 degrees C for each layer by using lower heat for the base and upper heat for the next layer.Oh,don't forget to preheat the oven first ya!

I'm feeling so much better today.Glad I am.
Now I finally can enjoy sitting under the fan at the speed of 3 without being sweaty and chilly at the same time.
I guess my antibody finally winning over the fever.

So it's the fourth day of CNY today and of couse,I don't think there'll be any guest coming over anymore. The only thing that'll come is not other than Lion.Yes, Lion. I mean it.The Lion Dance.
This morning alone,there were 2 groups of them coming over to offer their 'service'/ performance. But of course as always,we never let them in. So I trolled them.

Reunion dinner was awesome,I finally had my craving over by having Tom Yam steamboat.

The aftermath..but look at the leftover!such a waste!Nien nien you yu ?

Then we proceed with decorating the house with those red thingy.Well okay,actually I don't help a lot in decorating.My brother did most of it.And my father helped the least.Evidence?Just look at the pictures below.Find the similarity,lol.

And my mom will always be the busiest of all.She's like this lipas kudung.

On the first day of CNY...

So there we were,making a mess in the kitchen.

Kek Lapis Asam Manis Flakes

We did a couple actually, Kek Lapis Horlick and Kek Lapis Asam Manis Flakes. Will blog about the recipe of Kek Lapis Horlick next time,since it was the easiest and less complicated than the other one. The taste was okay and surprisingly,my cousin asked for the recipe the other day.So I guess it was not bad and I would like to share the recipe and plus,I've promised my cousin to post the recipe on my blog since she seemed to like it so much.So that next time,it would be easier for her to find the recipe here rather than asking it from my mom.And actually,my mom took the recipe from the internet.So it's not really ours.Just google "Kek Lapis Horlick" and you'll get it too.But I'm gonna post a better rendition of the recipe by posting pictures as well.Heh!

So the sad thing about CNY this year was that I did ZERO house visiting and the only Ang Pau I got was from my parents.Well,I'm used to it.It happened before.Just wait...wait til one day,or perhaps I'll include it as my resolution-make more Chinese friends and make sure that they live nearby me. #foreveralonechinese

But I'm glad that there were quite a number of friends and relatives that came over for visiting. I finally get to met a few friends that I never have the chance to meet again after secondary school. Reminiscing those old days and asking about each other life was good. I'm glad that they still remember and some part will never changed.
Then, here comes the relatives with new kids in the family. Now I lost count and can't even remember their names! Too bad I didn't get to take pictures cause was too busy layan them.

*Sigh.I think CNY is officially over for me now.Need to work on assignments now.
And I need to trim my hair too.It's getting worst.Plus I need to buy some stuff before heading back Tawau.The to-do list is just annoying and frustrating. All are for school purpose. Yeah,I think I'm gonna call that place 'school' from now onward cause ...it's just like one..-_-

I still remember how excited and determined she was when she took my body measurement and work hard to get it done...Can't wait.I'm coming home in 2 days. :)

The last hang out session of the year with my friend..I guess.Well since tomorrow is the last day of the year and everyone is gonna be busy.I guess I will just be at home and be on my bed by 12am, 2012....just like lastyear #foreveralone Y_Y
So I went to Parkson to meet Gwen,had lunch there and then loitering around the mall.

Then we fetched my another friend,Serah and off we drove to Merdeka Mall ,as planned earlier to watch Alvin & The Chipmunks.We were like 10 minutes late and missed the earlier scene,well still not too late to catch the movie though.
Anyway,I think they ought to change the movie title to "The Chipmunks & The Chipette" for the next sequel cause the movie is not merely about Alvin.Well he might be the naughtiest one,but still the other chipmunks and chipette are also super adorable and deserve to be in the spotlight as well.
And oh,I just googled and found out that the Dave guy was Earl in the TV series "My Name is Earl".Hahhaa,no wonder I thought that the guy was so familiar one.

SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU ARE SMART:
So the thing is,we hung out and although it was just a short one,I enjoyed it and glad that we had some time catching up with one another during this holiday. Finally now, I realized how valuable was every moment during high school cause we will never ever able to go back to those time anymore.For now,we are on different paths and we were still young when we used to promise with one another on how we should meet up and held some mini reunion on whatsoever someday. Well we were young and doesn't know what we would face in the future that time.Time and distance have becoming the barrier.And as time passed, some are married,with kids, working here and there, furthering study there and here,God knows where and the meeting up with one another plan is now just either impossible...or avoidable. Well I don't know either. I just don't wanna let time surpassed us again and wait and wait til we were too old to remember anything and maybe that time we've became stranger and became awkward with one another and thus have too little thing to talk about and in the end we barely know each other anymore.Yah just a stupid phophecy of mine and a stupid one and yah i know i think too much.#vain
So now i think it is important for us while still being healthy still young still normal still quite got a little money still happy no(not much) stress or burden still sane still got that adrenaline pumping to hang out and share what kind of life we are living and laugh and smile together.Cause the fact is,we are creating more memories.Which will we remembered for our whole life.Admit it,who wants to grow old and reminisce those same mundane memories?? What will you tell your grandchildren??That you work 24/7 and being uptight all the time??Confirm lah you will spend your bits of life in Old Folk Homes lol.

Dau Aya' 2011

Dau Aya' in Kayan, means "big day" is also referring to Christmas.
So I just got back yesterday and I would say that it was another simple yet warm celebration with my family back home.
There were not that much people coming back for Christmas this time around but the Christmas spirit never faded away as it's always there.
It is the joyful time of the year,where people gather, laugh,sing,pray,give,share and dine together again.

One of the best we had the other day:
We call it laso' in Kayan (if I'm not mistaken), just like the famous ayam pansuh, the only difference is that tapioca leave and pork are stuffed in the bamboo,instead of chicken.So I guess it's called Babi Pansuh?

It is easy to make and the seasoning are consist of simple stuff like salt,MSG, some grinded red onions and garlic. And of course add some water in it to prevent it to be dried out.

And every year,on the day before Christmas,we would have this "mi'ang kek" ceremony after the morning service. "Mi'ang kek", which means "cutting cake" is an annual cake selling event for the church where all the profit goes to the church for the needs of expanding God's Kingdom through missionary.

These cousins of mine are hilarious(At times,they are annoying =_=)!Took the cake home and impatiently ate em!One of them even open it up,sit on the stair and eat it straight away,without cutting it,with straight face lol!

So my aunt came to the rescue and saved them from choking by slicing the cakes lol.

I don't know why but he keeps pretending that I'm her Mummy, and like to touch my tummy and says that I'm pregnant (Yes,I'm offended T_T) and also sniff me lol. At times,I really thought that he's a perv haha.
But then I think he's just this naive cunning little kid that likes me I guess?or maybe I have a mother's scent?*Don't get this wrong,this kid's mother is still around and matter in fact ,still living with him.
Oh well,I'll just assume that I have a mother-figure .wtfish

Anyway,all together we had 5 sessions of services for Christmas,starting from the night of 23rd.

Caught my mom fall asleep once lol.

But too bad he's lifeless.lol. In fact,he just sit there at the corner of my room .Motionless.And too bad he's a big boy,that's why I can't snuggle with him in bed. Aww,,how I miss my Ziraffe.Yes,I used to hug those stuffed toy in bed every night..I would say goodnight to them and placed them nicely beside me.But the next morning,I usually found them lying on the ground.LOL
But then I grew up and left home and know that I can't bring them along anymore. But I did brought one to hostel though.It's a Me2U,so since it's small ,it's easier to be stuffed in my luggage.Hahaha.

Don't know what to blog actually.
Cuz it's holiday...yay! ~

The past few weeks time had been filled by watching Running Man. #addiction

And every evening,I would jog with DaddyDad.

Well,parts of my plan to lose weight actually.haha apart from practicing a healthy lifestyle of course.
*At times #lazyday,I secretly hope that it would rain by 530pm so that I have a good reason for not jogging.HAHA #vain

Well so far,it happened twice!! LOL

So there was one evening,after done jogging,I was chilling out at the porch when I saw my cat chasing some weird hopping creature.

And it was a frog .or toad.idk. doesn't matter.
Anyways,it was cornered and my cat lost interest on it anymore.Since it doesn't move and stay still. Just in case you don't know,cat shows interest in moving objects,ANYTHING! #fact Well,unless it's a really damn lazy overpampered fat cat.

And as a matter of fact,the only reason DaddyDad giving them food without any complaints (unlike MummyMom) is that they(my cats) contribute to the family by keeping the cicak (lizard?) or rats whatsoever DEAD! DaddyDad once found a dead rat at the back of our house and he was very glad of it.LOL

I found once the other day too.

On the contrary,MummyMom is the one that always wanted to get rid of the cats by telling me how she wanted to leave them at her workplace,which is far from our place.In other word, turning them into stray cats. I know right,HOW COULD SHE??

Well despite everything she said,I know that deep in her heart,she still sayang the cats what. Hehe..
Once,she was bitten by one of the cat while trying to bath him. I was shocked to hear bout it from KA Bro,not because she was bitten but because that was the first time she bathed the cat.HAHA

So back to the story, I was watching it when it suddenly hopped.

Then I nrealized it was actually hopping toward ANOTHER FROG/TOAD !!!

So there are two of them and I was so wrong for initially thought that it was a baby and mom frog reunited after God knows how long when suddenly the bigger toad/frog was trying to 'hop on' the smaller one.Get it get it??HAHAHA.

Then,the bigger frog/toad hopped away from her/his partner and leave the house compound (the gate was just next to the wall).As if it knows that I want them to leave,HAHA. #evilcharacter
So the smaller frog/toad hopped along and followed his/her partner. Since it doesn't hop that fast like the other one and needed like 1 minute to think which way to hop,I used a broom to 'showed' him/her the way.Haha.

Then when I thought the frog/toad story just ended,another one appeared!!...ZOMG!!!

This one was no joke okayy!!It was GIGANTIC!!This time,the lil' cat caught it.

It was so frightened that it blindly hopped into DaddyDad's shoe!
Armed with a broom,I was ready for another battle.

And I think it was 'pregnant'. Felt kinda guilty from being so harsh with it...kekeke~
So the 'battle' was kinda competitive since this one was really active and tried very hard to save it own's life.LOL.Hopped a few rounds here and there and even going under the car! I was really afraid that it would even attack me and hopped onto my face.eeeeeriee .But in the end I finally managed to 'showed' him the way out.

It was truly a one of a kind experience to me.Kinda weird actually...to bump into 3 frogs/toads in like 30 minutes in my house compound. =_=. And there is no pond here k.

And oh,talking about the cat. I'm totally pissed with whoever that abused my cat here.

Spot the red bloody flesh there?Don't wanna get a closer picture as it's too explicit.

The fur and skin was totally ripped off.I have nothing else to say bout this,cause the cat itself is to be blamed as well.She's really naughty and I guess this is the price she has to pay and endure for intruding into someone else's crib.
I hope she learned her lesson though.
So,I'm an untrained 'vet' and surprisingly it always work and currently healing with some medicated oil!:D

p/s:I didn't abuse the frog/toad okay,I was being helpful by 'showing' them the exact way out.teehee~ :p

Stolen For A Moment

So it was girls day out today.
Went to fetched Gwen and Beth and we had lunch at Muara Restaurant.
Then we decided to go to Bintang Megamall for bowling.

Beth & Gwen,my two girlfriends that always around whenever we plan to hangout.Others are either MIA or not available.*sigh

So fast forwarded to 3 hours later, we headed to Starbucks and did an impromptu Christmas Card Exchanging Session.,hahaha

It all started when Gwen was searching for a wedding card to be given on a wedding ball which she shall attend later that night. I was joking and asked her to buy me a Christmas card as well. Then it just happened. We decided to buy for one another!The three of us.hohoo.It'll never be too early for Christmas right!;)

So we lepak at Starbucks while waiting for Gwen's father to come and fetch her.
Since Beth's place is not far from the mall, I agreed to give her a ride.
So up we went to the car park after bid Gwen goodbye.

That was the parking lot that we remembered where we parked the car earlier.
However when Beth and I reached there,we were dumbfounded when the grey Viva is nowhere to be seen O_o!! Instead,it was a Kelisa.
We started to be anxious and our adrenaline pumped to the max.
I know we shouldn't,but we even stupidly laughed.. "Apuu...mn kreta tu?" "siapa curi kreta tu?" "Akai,ada cctv ka sini?" and other stupid questions and crazy responses.

Flashback of us just arriving the parking lot even crossed my mind. But I just can't remember.Can't remember whether I had lock the car or not. 90% OF ME SAID NO and I was freaking out!

and Beth even funnier cause she kept asking me "Kamu takut ka?" "Saya pun takut sudah ni." "Mcm mn lah" ...LOL.
We walk back and forth like orang gila and we looked so dumb.

So Beth suggested me to call Gwen to affirm whether D8 was THE parking lot.
And yes it is.I even asked her whether I locked the car or not and it seemed hopeless when she also can't remember.

I AM SO SCREWED.

Finally,I frantically called my dad and told him everything.
However it was not al ong call,I abruptly hang up when we saw the parking lot guard.
We walked to him and asked the uncle whether the place have CCTV or not and explained him of our situation.
The uncle is way so calm man.hahhahaha.
"Mungkin di atas" was his short reply.
We were clueless.

The uncle walked us to the fifth floor while telling us that we are not the only one.

Apparently,there was a lady who faced the same situation like us too.
Her car was parked on the 5th floor and almost break down into tears when her car was nowhere to be found as she returned back to the car.
Turned out she was on the 4th floor that time.The car was parked on the 5th floor.-_-

So....yah, we were in the same situation.

We laughed so hard when we finally see the grey Viva and thanked the uncle.
The uncle smiled and waved us bye.

I know, I know. So stupid right. But seriously,why on Earth do they need to named every floor with the same number/alphabet/code of parking lot???why not for A-Z!!??
for example: 1st floor-A,2nd floor-B, etc.
or my suggestion is just way even confusing?

I was just lazy to argue more. He never heard of wisdom teeth i guessed. The thought of explaining it to him is just troublesome.So I just kept quiet and listen to his lecture.

So I did some research.
"Wisdom teeth usually appear between the ages of 17 and 25. "-Source

I am currently 20 years old and I am so sure that my wisdom teeth had fully grown up since... I can't remember when.
So I'm not sure whether the wisdom teeth is growing bigger (impacted) that there's no enough space anymore at the gum or there just something wrong with my gum line.
I really hope that there is nothing wrong with my wisdom teeth cause the idea of EXTRACTION really scared the ghost out of me.I don't know where did I saw it,but I keep having this image of a dentist using a playar to cabut the wisdom teeth.
Well,I'm sure that won't happen in real life. Be realistic Fiona,be realistic!

But no kidding though,read a few articles online and stated there that the extraction of wisdom teeth is no joke.The aftermath of the extraction could be excruciating. And that's mean no awesome food galore for some time...T_T

So back to my case.Well,it is not that painful actually.It is just a slight ache at the right side of my back gum. But it sure annoyed me. I can't hardly chewed food using my right side of teeth,cause regardless of how I try to control it,the food will eventually have some little contact with the gum and man...that hurts.

Now, the thing that worried me the most was that the pain has stayed for like 2 weeks already. Still remember that it was during exam week. I was done with the first paper and my gum hurts that I refused to go eat. But still,ended up eating also after persuaded by my roomate. Or was it becayse I was too hungry that I don't care much anymore?LOL.

So it's like 2 weeks plus already.
This is when I finally decided to see the dentist.

Yes,i waited quite a while for the doctor to consult me, that I even managed to take same pics.

After doing :O for a while,he explained the situation to me.
I don't really get what the doctor said..he was like mumbling as he was wearing a mouth mask.
So I just nod and let him do what he has to do....fix me.

So in just less than 5 minutes, it was done and I was given some painkillers and antibiotics.
Hoorayy for it doesn't hurt at all!

But it's not a happy ending yet cause I was told that if the pain is yet to go away after finishing the antibiotics,then I will need to return and have the wisdom teeth to be extracted. *GULP

JC,I've been waited for more than 1 month for this day. It's finally here...

Now I really need to plan my budget well. Less shopping and eating binges.Haihhh..Life might get easier and more convenient,but not that 'fertile' anymore.:s

P/S:It's revision week and I'm not into it yet.And the final is next week.Only 8 out of 19 came to class this morning.Looks like I'm not the only one.Sadly, this gave me more reason to live an unproductive day.x_x

and oh,Gala Nite this Friday.I have a dress but don't think it suits the theme/dress code.I'll search for another one tomorrow,but if I really can't find any,I'll just wear it then.Who cares.I just wanna have fun and eat eat eat..Paid for it what.=_=...

Mabul,Semporna

We went for a 2 days 1 night trip in Mabul Island last Wednesday and we had a blast!!!!
I was the planner for this trip and I'm glad that everyone enjoyed it.:)

So departing at 6am on Wednesday morning was the plan.
*Sigh,...boys are always be boys.:s
Called Bona at 6am asking about their whereabouts and the heck!?."I just woke up." was his answer. Regretted for not telling them to get ready by 5am.That should do the trick.
We,the girls ended up waiting the boys for 1 hours and finally left at 7 something.

Arrived Semporna's Jetty at 8 something.
There,we met Pak Cik Rosli. He was suggested by a friend of mine and so called our tour guide for this trip.

Our ride was a normal wooden boat (cheaper) and took approximately 2 hours to reach Mabul Island.
A speedboat like the one below would only take about 45 minutes!Which is more expensive. Heard that it is RM80 per person.:s

I'm really grateful to God for He heard my prayer and granted us amazing weather.
For the past few days,it has rained cats and dogs and everyone declared it as the raining season.So I was kinda worried that our activity would only be rain-watching.
However, amazingly it only rained once when we were there.That is when we just arrived the island. God is soooo goood!^^,

We were told that the island is dwelled by the locals there and idk whether they are counted as orang asli.But heard Pak Cik Rosli called them Orang Pulau..a.k.a Island People??

Somehow I feel like the kids are the breadwinner of the family since they really looked so serious in searching God knows what. No,it's not fish. For sure,it must be something eatable or sellable (??seriously this is not even an English word and I just feel like using it.kthxbye)

Pak Cik Rosli briefed us on the activities to be done

Since lunch is to be served at 12pm,we decided to spend the spare 20 minutes strolling around the island.

We thought we were lost when we try to get back to our place,but as Pak Cik Rosli told us earlier, "It's an island,if you get lost ,just go around and you'll found way back home."..True.haha.

Rains pouring down after we had our lunch.Thank God it doesn't rain when we were on our way ,or else it would be really scary with the wave and all that.

In the meantime,Pak Cik Rosli explained and briefed us on the apparatus for scuba diving.

Basically,there will be two dives.First one is for skills while the other one is the real dive.

Meaning to say he will first teach us the basic skills for diving before taking us for the real dive in the deep blue ocean.

After an hour or so,the rain stopped and it's time to have funnnnn!XD

Only 4 of us decided to do scuba diving while the others going for snorkelling.

After done with the skills,Cleo and I joined the others having fun on the beach.

At night,after a refreshing shower and commendable dinner, we had nothing else to do other than playing cards and chit chatting.

I'm not good in cards and only know to play two games,which are blackjack and em..idk what it is called in english..in chinese it's called as "wu kui'' (tortoise).
Pat taught us a new game named Heart Attack and I really enjoyed it very much. Not recommended for those that can't react fast.lols!
Learned another game which is Liar.A good game to sharpen one's lying skill.hahaha...

Besides that, had a foot massage session..surprisingly,Leng is good in it!And played the Truth&Dare game before going to bed...

The next morning,we the girls are all ready by 7am while the boys...

Still asleep..zzzz...

So, we kick start our day with nothing other than..

And cards again..hahaa.Never get bored of it here..

Breakfast was ready by 730am and this was what I had...

After done with breakfast,we get on the boat and went to this part of the island...

According to Pak Cik Rosli, it is the famous spot for diving and snorkelling.

So what happened was that I feel nauseous.Yes,while I was diving.-___-

After a few dive,I knew that I can't stand it anymore..so I gave the signal to Pak Cik Rosli that I need to get up to the surface and tell him about it.

Told him that I feel that I wanna puke and he told me just to do it.

And yes,I did it.Ughhh.

I closed my eyes all along the 'process' cause I just don't dare to see it.It felt horrible.

Jesus,I thought I just broke the record of being the first person to puke while diving.

However,Pak Cik Rosli told me that it happens and told me about the incident involving his colleague..I was relieved a little bit.lol.I was so embarrassed.

Then,after rested for a while,we went in to dive again and after a while,I think Pak Cik Rosli knew that I was just not fit for any further diving ,so he suggested me to head back to the boat and take a rest.

The boat was 'parked' next to a deck and I decided to get up to the deck since the boat was not a good place for me to regain stable-ness.It was moving all that,and for sure I knew I would get seasickness just by sitting in it.

After a while, Cleo and Pat joined me on the deck.

We were there like half and hour and by the time we went back down to the boat,we were frigging surprised to spot a few seasnakes under the deck.Goshhh.

We spotted 5 of them.There must be more!
Thank God none appear when I was on the deck!!

After the two boys done with their diving,all of us get in the boat and leave.
We then had our final dip in another spot which is popular among divers.

After 10 minutes or so,we headed back to our resort and cleaned ourself up before going back to Semporna.

Overall,it was a great and memorable trip and I would certainly like to do it again next time.

The price was worth it too.Just in case you are wondering,here is it:

RM300-Diving,Snorkelling,Accomodation,Food,Boat fee
RM200 -Snorkelling,Accomodation,Food,Boat fee

A friend of mine is a diver and he was the one that introduced Pak Cik Rosli to me.I reckoned this price is not available anywhere and special thank to Pak Cik Rosli for willing to be our so called 'tour guide' for the 2 days 1 night vacation.:)

Also,we rented two cars for two days as we need to drive from Tawau to Semporna.We need to pay RM500 for the rental alone.*Gulp!There were 10 of us,so each of us paid RM50 for the car rental.

*Spent almost 3 straight hours for this entry.Cause I'm just in a good mood to blog.hahaa.:)
*Gonna take my shower now,staying out this weekend since there is a Pre Christmas celebration at church tomorrow night.
*Also,meeting lil' white tomorrow morning after a 1 month plus of waiting.:D

I'll update soon...very soon. Just a short update for what I've been up to now.
Firstly, broadband is dead due to overheat ( I think), need to buy a new one. Man,I need to minimize my illegal downloadingFor the sake of the broadband. But I think it's impossible,cause it's our lifeline of watching our fav TV series ..Hahaha... Adios to my two years plus old HUAWEI broadband.You'd served me err...ok lah ,quite well actually.

Then,the other thing that keep bugging me is assignment.There's another last two assignments to be done..soon..very soon...Learning & The Learner (to be submitted tomorrow) and Phonetics and Phonology (next week).
Then,what else ah?Oh ya,tomorrow we're going to a (very) nearby preschool on Madam's period- Children's Literature.We're going to do a story-telling (Bigbook) and teaching of phonic through singing.I hope we'll have fun!

So we had this 2nd Phase of SBE (School-Based Experience) from 5th Sept 2011-9th Sept 2011,and I had decided to have it in a urban school this time with CY.It was SK St Columba Miri.

This time around,we were assigned with our major subject's assignment- ELT (English Teaching Methodology).

1st Day
School starts at 7am.So we decided to go earlier on the first day,arrived by 6.30am, to avoid congestion as well.

Apparently, there were another 9 other persons gonna have their SBE with both of us there.They were from the nearby IPG Miri and of the same batch with us, but of different courses.

Since the headmaster was not around,we met the PK1, Cg. Faridah.
After a very simple introduction, we then tagged along with the other teachers in the morning assembly.
What can I say,I just love the assembly!Organized,simple and short!:D

After done with the assembly,we went to the library as it is going to be our 'office' for the week since the teacher's room is packed.
There,we met another 2 KPLI teachers which are having their practicum. Apparently,it is their 'office' as well,with big table and plastic chairs around the table..you know how people having meeting ?That was how we looked like..haha.

So (we decided) there was not much to be done on the first day.Empty talk and get to know each other,that was all.We called it the process of "adapting ourself".XD

There was this funny conversation between CY and I...
We were going to the toilet and there was this student's toilet and teacher's toilet...So I walked toward the teacher's..
CY:Hey,why are you going in there?
Me:What?
CY:That is the teacher's toilet.
Me:So?We are teacher,right?
CY:No, we aren't.We are just trainee teacher.Still a student.
Me:Aiyo,yes we are.Let's just go in. We are future teacher to be what.
LOL.I don't know if you find that funny,but it really was at that time.I don't know whether CY was really being blurred or she was just made that up to cheer me up..HAHA.

We went to the school canteen too.Early,haha.I think it was about 8.30am,cause everyone was starving.lol.
Turned out that the food was really cute.All come in small packages.Well,that is how it is supposed to be right?Small sizes,little amount of food.

By 12.30pm,we are out of the school.

2nd Day
As usual,our day starts in the library.
We planned to enter and observe classes today.
Cg. Angelia is the head of English department in the school ,so we went to the teacher's room twice to meet her but came to no avail.Turned out she was having class that time.Thus,we waited at the library again.

So what happened in the meantime??
Damn bored okayy??!
I was so sleepy that I regretted of not taking coffee that morning.Then I was thinking of getting one at the canteen but too bad they don't have it there since the canteen serves mostly kids and blablabla. In short,of course they don't sell coffee to kids.-__-

Suddenly, CY suggested Starbuck.
Out of the blue,we came out with this crazy idea of driving out to get a drink at Starbuck and came back again. We talked,planned and laughed about the idea like delinquents.
I was like "Are you serious you wanna do this?" I think I asked her for like 5 times,and without fail, she nodded with a smirk.

And guess what,we did it.HAHA.

The recess bell rang and off we walked to the car park and drove out of the school compound.
On the way,we talked about this, wondering if we could really do this. I mean going out of the school compound.
I don't think it's wrong anyway.As we really don't have any class or things to do,so why not going out to have our break somewhere.
The only problem was that we exceeded the 20 minutes break time,as in 5 minutes drive,ordering,sipping, eating, talking and another 5 minutes drive back to the school. All happened in 30 minutes.So glad no one asked or caught us.hahaaha..

I didn't even notice it until CY did.The barista must've seen my name tag and wrote my name on it.So observant wan..but makes no difference what..cause we both ordered the same drink.hahaha.

So as planned earlier, CY and I then went to the teacher's room again and search for Cg. Angelia.This time,she was there. So according to her, for this week she don't have any teaching to do,only some correction (I supposed they had their exam and having the papers back and doing the correction this week) with the students. After she heard from us that we were only gonna be in the school only in this week,she helpfully arranged a class on Thurday and told us to come in on that day. We happily agreed.:))

And that..my friends..the highlights of the day,the rest are ...rubbish.lol.
Can't wait for Thursday!

3rd Day

4th Day
It was great! We get to enter two classes,which were 3 Merah and 4 Kuning (impromtu). Unfortunately,we can't enter 5M as planned last two days as Cg. Angelia didn't do any lesson on this day,only correction of their past exam.Therefore, we went and asked Mr Saga,another English teacher.So 3 Merah it was.Time really flies when we're in the class.Didn't realize two period ended and it was time the end of the day.CY and I really had fun talking to them throughout the activity session after the lesson .

Just minutes after we reached the library, Cg. Robin came and asked for any two volunteers to seat-in a class as the teacher was not around. Since the other just look at each other blankly,CY and I happily volunteered ourself (which we regreted,LOL),thought it might be fun! So yah, it was the worst class in the school! Unexplanable.X_X. Students running around the class, fighting, walked around and disturb the others and etc! We can't control them!They will only listen to the rough/hard way. This is very obvious by the time Mr. Robin came to our class to check on us. Everyone in the class kept silence upon his presence at the door. His concrete and sturdy voice was the weapon! He helped us to control the class by raising his voice and rearrange the sitting position.Then he left.But not even 5 minutes, the class was 'normal' again,and we just can't do anything.Thus,we just let them do whatever they want,as long they don't go too far. Thank God it was only 1 period! Class ended and we let them go home,gratefully.

5th Day
Misinformation.CY and I went too early to school -_______-. It was like 40 minutes earlier!Cause we thought that the assembly was gonna start at 615am!Consoled myself that it was the last day anyway! Apparently, assembly started at 7am and Mr Simon,the headmaster informed that the school is welcoming a special guest this morning-Datuk Sebastian Ting,secretary of Dato' Seri Peter Chin,to deliver a cheque of 5K.

Before we leave the school, we went to meet the headmaster and conveyed our gratitude for willing to accept and cooperate with us throughout the SBE,and of course to get our evaluation form and get him to verified our attendance throughout the SBE.

Bid each other goodbye and off we go,leaving St Columba Miri...First time ever,I just can't wait to graduate,leave the institute and live the life of being an educator.It just seemed more fun and less burdensome!

So, I have totally forgotten the umbrella that I brought this morning and came back to the school after 1 hours. This poor kid was still waiting for his parents and same goes with last few days.I saw him waiting at the bus stop.For 1 hour,can you imagine that!He was sweating like what and waited there patiently. I recognized him,he was in 3 Merah and quite active in the class.

I am really dissapointed with parents that let their kids to wait at the bus stop for this long. They must be busy?Fine,but can't they let their relatives,friends or even the school bus to send their kids back??Kids nowadays..people said that they are becoming cleverer..but they do have their inadequate needs too...and that is the factor that's gonna shape them up in the future...

While I'm in the mood and it is lingering on my mind,I better blog about it now.

So I was dragged by my mom to a funeral. The deceased was someone from my mom's village,an elder who entered Glory at the age of 100yrs old.O_O

*Subject might be different according to denomination.I'm talking about SIB.

During the funeral,I was wondering about some stupid,trivial matters:

1. Dress code.I was wearing this bright blue top. Am I allowed to wear such colour? I looked around and quite relieved to know that I'm not the only one. My religion don't have any strict policy on the dressing code while attending a funeral (I guess so?). I do know some does,where bright colour means disrespect to the deceased.Wearing bright colour seems inappropriate as people are grieving. Like the western, black is the dress code ,right?Where the ladies wear dress and guy with tux.I don't know why but to me,it seems so nice and elegant at same time.It's very appropriate and I was thinking why don't we embrace the culture?If we are to wear the same thing like the western does during a wedding,why not in a funeral as well? Anyway, the current culture does seem acceptable too,with khaki shorts and t-shirt as the slackest attire you could ever see in a typical funeral.Well,I guess a sincere heart is what matter the most right?

2.Time.Why the funeral must be held in the afternoon?Matter in fact, all the funerals I attended before were also held in a sizzling hot noon.I did asked my mom regarding this and her short answer of "Because people are going to church in the morning" was really reasonable. But why can't we do it like those in the western(again)? Funeral is conducted in the morning,where everyone could feel the grief without fanning themself and sweating.

After the funeral, we were on our way back to the car when I encountered a few more matter again.:

1. Everyone looked familiar .I mean those on the gravestone.Seriously,when I take a look at the pictures of the deceased on the gravestone, I was like "I think I know this guy","Hey,he looks familiar","I've seen him somewhere","I think I know this name" and blablabla...-____________-.Am I a psychic or what.Duhh.

2.How crowded the graveyared is.This is what my mom talked with some other people after the funeral. Where the graveyard seemed crowded day by days.Everyday(well,maybe not), people are dying and a slot is required to bury the body. My mom talked about how big is a slot allocated to bury one body. Depending on how rich are you or how much are you willing to pay,the gravestone would be varies with the tiles,marbles,carving, design etc. Once again,the western is praised for their style as their graveyard really look organized with the minimize usage of gravestone and the visible vast green grass.I wonder if this Earth has enough of lands to bury all the dead one?Will l the day come where we ran out of land and thus change to cremation?Only God knows.

In the end,I guess everything is about culture right?

The smell of the sea breeze.Right now.Sitting here beside the wondow.
No kidding,our college is like 5 KM away from the sea.I am really amazed.
Window is barely opened,the strong gust earlier forced roomate to shut it.While I was elsewhere.
Some chilling midnight wind slipped through the window.I am chilled.
Birds chipping,might be because of the cold?Or hungry?Or blabbing about the rain?In their own bird language of course,
ignoring roomate who is currently sleeping soundlessly.Well,like they care?They never care afterall.
It's really midnight.And my body and soul is still here.
Tired before.But then caffeine boosted me up.
Heading bed very soon.Sleep is after me.I am not aftering sleep.
Stumbled upon a fact today while reading friend's magazine...that every 7 seconds,a baby is born. How amazing is that?
I wonder if this world would be overpopulated someday?Hurm,one day even Malaysia would only have that 1 child policy?Who knows?
It's drizzling I guessed.

Tennis+Poolside BBQ

There was this tennis tournament going on last week.
We, as the tennis club organized everything.
We gratefully pulled through all kinds of weather..from rainy day to sizzling hot sun..

We took turns to be the judge and I'm proud to say that I went from knowing nothing to at least being a judge throughout the 2 days tournament.A JUDGE, man!!

Oh,I mean LINE JUDGE!;P

Chair umpire?Oh..still a long way to go..but I did caught a few terms though..fault ,double, service advantage,tie break and so many that I'd forgotten.Gosh,it's really not an easy task to be one.You must really love tennis to learn all that.But being a line judge was not bad..a great way to train yourself to keep your eye on the ball..and the court line of course!

Honestly,I'm glad to be in this club.It wasn't that bad after all.Matter in fact,I learn a lot about tennis!

Few weeks back,I was left no choice other than to join the Tennis Club as the other clubs had reached it quota.But really..I'm not saying that I don't like tennis..I do like tennis and once had the desire to learn the sport.But I didn't expect the day really came to me this soon...

So far,I'm loving it!

Watching the game right before my eyes was really something..*Swoosh..!

They made it looks so easy..but once I get my own hand on one,the ball just fly out of range.=_=

After done with everything,we went out to town on that very afternoon.

The plan was to hang out at a swimming pool at a resort nearby.

Since Syira haven't took neither her breakfast and lunch,we decided to fill our tummy somewhere.

So earlier,we've been told that our minor is gonna be PSV (Visual Art).

Before this,it was said to be Music.

The lecturer said that it is somehow a good news.But frankly speaking,I was rather disappointed. I think I would be a better Beethoven rather than Picasso. -_-

It is explained that since we don't have any music background ,they finally decided on PSV as our minor for the next semester.
We still ought to spend another 3 and half years here,can't we learn everything in that period?
I really want to improve my skill on guitar and moving away from this hiatus.All I know for now are only those basic chords...G,C,F,D,Am,E..urm,that's all.Playing these few chords all over again...Pathetic right?

It is undeniable that everyone love music...just by listen to it?Isn't it gonna be effing awesome if we are able to play the music and tag along?I mean venture in it and 'create' the melody...it was epic when I did it for the first time!I mean..it feels so good!

I'm not sure if I'm gonna really learn Music someday..but my short period of learning it few years back was definitely one of the delighted moment in my life.As times passed,I had to stop learning it,realizing the need of putting other thing as the priority in my life.And yes,I regret it.

But for sure,I'm gonna let me kid learn it.Whether they would love it or hate it,they are so gonna be grateful for it one day.

Holiday is officially over for me.
It's seems surreal.
Alakadabra dush,everything ends.
I still can remember the day I got back home.The moment we were stranded in KK for a day before they could flew us to where we were supposed to be the day before.
Can't believe that the 3 weeks semester break is over.
Didn't go to any fancy nor far far far away places,but still ...I had fun.Gonna miss those moments...

I'm gonna miss my family,home,high speed internet connection,meows,unproductive daily routines like watching TV series all days,out and about,jog with dad and mom,trashing the kitchen,waking up at 8am and later,sleeping at 12am and later,taking nap whenever I want,watching random videos in youtube and urgh..and the list just goes on..

Getting back to college is fine for me...but the fact that our portfolio is going to be checked and getting our exam result slip as well on the very first day??#fainted

Psstt~I'm back!hehe..been away for 4 days..no internet connection nor phone for last few days and yay,I survived! Went back Long Bemang for the annual Irau/Christian Conference alike gathering and all I can say is that it was a MASSIVE gathering. People came all the way from their long houses in Baram Tengah and Tutoh-Apoh area for the gathering and it was my first time joining the conference.
Good thing about such conference was that I managed to meet up some of my friends and catch up with one another.
Not to forget,got to meet with relatives and those in long house.
Seriously,I have so many IDontRecognized relatives....

MAS Chaos

So I am home.Finally.But it really did took longer than it should be to be here.
Actually,it took 1 day longer.

So my flight to KK from Tawau was just fine,eventhough it took off like 10 minutes later than scheduled.I was totally fine and able to tolerate with that...but never did I know that it was a bad omen of what gonna happen next...it was a chaos,lots confusion and a little bit of disorder.

Touched down KK around 3.50PM.So next,we rushed to the departure hall as we were scheduled to leave KK on a 4.40PM flight to Miri.

Woah~never knew that the airport (Terminal 2) was that big!So much difference from Terminal 1,where I used to transit.FYI,I used to be a regular guest of Airasia, but since the flight to Miri at night had been terminated,I switched to MAS.Sorry Airasia,it's your lost. Although it's kinda pricy than Airasia,but I just have no choice,and from the bright side, it's inclusive of 20kg baggage carriage when Airasia is exclusive of it.So actually,it makes no much difference.

Back to my story,when I was just about to enter the immigration checking,my friend Cleo called and told me that "Fiona,your flight is canceled.It' gonna be tomorrow."I was "What?Why?How?How did you know??".I happened to be that my friend was at the McD,with my junior which was on the exact flight with me.So the junior told that friend of mine and there she was,telling me the bad news.

I try to search for the screen which display the departure schedule around me but I just can't see any as I was just about to enter the departure hall .So I asked one of the officer there but he was not sure and told me to enter and ask those inside the departure hall.

So we gone through the immigration and I was partially sure that the flight must be a go since we were allowed to get in. A10 was the gate we headed to and oh boy,it was sure quite a long walk as it is located at the end...As we arrived the right place, we noticed the TV screen that displaying the departure schedule and then OH WHAT THE.....the word CANCELED in red pissed us off.

Frustrated,exhausted and clueless,I and CY just stood there and look at each other in disbelief. We don't know what to do next..it looked like we were the only victims there.I don't see any other passengers around that looked frustrated like we do.

But actually there was one that I know,this friend of mine,Stiffi is also taking TESL like I do,just that she is more luckier to be located in Gaya Campus,KK.Thus instead of taking 2 flights,she only need to take once each time we fly back home.So she was rescheduled to be on the same flight with us us she had informed me earlier that day.After searching for a while we finally spotted her sitting among the other waiting passengers.

Even worst,she also doesn't have a clue that the flight was canceled!

Therefore,we went to the nearest counter to confirm upon this matter.
So the other passengers that supposed to be on same flight with us were there as well, they told us that it was sadly true that the flight was canceled as they were having some problem with the engine.Dang,it hits us there!Our world is falling down and everything seemed bleak..we are stranded in KK and can't go back forever??Ok fine,I'm bluffing. But true story though,my friend was being over-reacted and said "Macam mana saya mau balik macam ini??" HAHAHA. But really,I pitied her.Some culprits even broke into their house in Miri last night and trashed their place.Even worse,did I mentioned that she is an Iban and Gawai is in like a few days?

Well,we did went back finally though.If not,I won't be typing this.haha.
The flight was the next day though,at the same time,4.40PM.
Good thing that MAS was willing to compensate everything.
From transportation, accommodation to food,everything was arranged for us. Smart move MAS.Now I won't sue you.:s.
Or should I say that they SHOULD HAVE do so?

Anyway,after dealt with the ticket and given a few cheque,we were ready for our short '1 day holiday in hotel'=_=

So upon arrival,we found out that not EVERYTHING was provided.We still need to pay for the deposit.=_= We do know that the money would be refund once we checked out the next day but at that time?We were broke and our money was barely enough to pay for the deposit(RM100).So RM50 from me and another RM50 from Stiffi was just enough.That's all we got that momentT_T...there was these two Iban lads,about my age,were totally dried. She wanted to borrow my money but I just paid for our room as well.

Now here come the rescue.
If you have any,it's not a wasted effort to bring along the foreign currency along in our purse you know.
It might save you.
So that moment,I remembered that I still keep a some Singapore dollar and they(hotel) accepted it as well.
For once last time,I thought of keeping all the foreign currency I have in some sort of safe deposit cause I they were useless(since I'm in Malaysia,use MYR la) and making my purse heavier.
So this time it had really proven me wrong!

So yah back to the story,I really think MAS should have cover that up earlier for us. :s

So after had our dinner,we went to the mall for shopping..erm more to window shopping.haha.

It had been a long while I didn't watch movies in 3D,so long that I don't even remember what or when was the last time...=_=*now must remember Kung Fu Panda 2 is the last one I ever watched,don't know when is going to be the next one..might be quite a while,bloody expensive eh..3D movie for RM16 Y_Y

Next morning I was the first one to rise and shine!!..at 8am.haha.
Well,the movie ended pretty late last night..around 1am and it was great...Po was so cool and funny at the same time hahhaa..and the tragic story of his childhood was so touching.:`(

The only drawback we detected about this hotel was about the food.
It was buffet style.
The choices was rather limited and served in small portion.Small portion here means once the food is finished,it is not replaced immediately.I mean buffet's food should be refill at all times right?Or maybe the least they should do is that refill the food before it is finished right?

For once,there was this man that pissed off as the ginger souced fried fish was finished and asked for it from the waiter.The waiter went to the kitchen and came out again to tell the man that he still need to wait.
The man must be starving that he was pissed and complaint how inefficient their service and went off,after eating whatever he have that time.

It was we who waited in the end and took some of the ginger sauced fried fish .
Heck,it was yuckss!The fish was partially raw and obviously,it was not being cook nicely and rushed to be done. X_X

1st Semester's Exam

Just gone through a freaking horrible scary disastrous exam week.Okay fine,I exaggerated.

First paper was on Thursday,Edu 3101-Philosophy of Malaysia Education. FYI,Edu stands for the code for Educational subjects. Erm,I would say it was kinda tough. Since I ran out of time and yah..I could've done better.={

Next paper was the next Monday.Edu 3102-Child Development ,another educational paper. Once again,I could've done better.Even worse,I left some part BLANK!I know I shouldn't...but I really had no idea ! I was engrossed in the essay part that I forgot that I had purposely left some of the structure part blank to be filled in later.And so...yah,I've fooled myself.Serve me right.=_=

Done with those two educational papers,next was our major paper-TSL 3101-Introduction To Linguistic.Now this is the killer subject for me. But I happened to be very calm the night before.Way too calm that roomie kept asking me "Why are you so relax???" as I was watching Youtube instead of doing revision.Hehehe..blame Nigahiga. Well,I did study a little that night,it was around 10pm I think?Fret not cause the paper was scheduled on the next day,2:30PM.Hence,I thought that I have the whole morning to study for the subject.So I did the revision and wala!.. sat for the paper, it was kinda tough (AGAIN) for me. Hate phonetic transcription the most that I refused to even take a quick look at the phonetics symbols that morning and yah,karma hits me..it really came out!!=_=.That moment,I pledged myself to study and memorize all the main phonetic symbols this coming holiday to avoid me from being a retarded whenever I see it again next time.#vain
The essay was okay as I chose the Word Formation related question and all I can say is that I only love this one single topic-Morphology.That is because for the first time ever,I was so engrossed in writing something related to Linguistics,which is damn hard to be explained in words.So other than that,I hate Syntax,Pragmatics,History of English and erm...forgot already.See,my memory is frigging weak that anything I read only last for like 2days or so.Heck,it was just 1 day ago!T_T.So in the end, 20 MCQ,10 structures,1 essay to be done in 3 hours was merely enough for me.Didn't even have the time to recheck my answer diligently,only managed to flip through just to make sure everything was filled (not blank).Then,"TIME'S!"..=`{

Last paper was this afternoon,2:30PM.TSL 3102-Literature in English.Guessed what,the paper was printed as "Introduction in Linguistic" in the front page.Heck,the moment I saw it,I was hoping that they had really mis-given yesterday's paper and just lost the Literature paper.Well,of course that could only happened if they are some pre-school kid. So it just happened that they only misprint the front page only as the content was exactly so Literature-ish.=_=.So no bonus marks wtfish

3 hours for this paper is merely enough.First time ever,I didn't even yawn for even once like I did in the previous 3 papers.I just don't understand how some of us could just went out from the hall like 1 hour earlier??How they manage to do it??

So, the thing is...I'm frigging frustrated with myself for:
1.I did the worst ever today.
2.I failed to manage my time well.
3.Being so vain
4.Being excessively emotional after the paper when everyone around me was so happy for having ended the exam and up for holiday.

I just can't help it.
Having the thought of reseating the paper make me sick.*mentally
After we were done with the paper around 5:30PM and reached our room,I kept on whining like sh*it and I would like to apologize to my roomie for being the one that need to stand whatever that I expeled from this rebellious side of me. (I know you would read this someday) Being so emotional that I refused to do anything for like 2 hours,lying on the bed and just closed my eyes, and going through a silence treatment,as so what it's called .Then I went to take my shower,did the laundry,rearranged my closet and changed my bed sheet .Packed some of my clothes and finally,having the courage to blog.

*Man,typing it out now sure make me feel much better!
*Flying back home this coming Friday !
*Gonna have a luxurios meal tomorrow with classmates.So yah having a RM27 per person steamboat get my adrenaline pumping!
*But before that,having a MQA briefing at 9am is shading the excitement a little.Duh!

But hey,the thought of being at home in another 2 days made me smile.:))

Believe it or not.I've been with short hair since I was born.
I was like in a strict girl school,when I was clearly not.
And my dad definitely not a police nor in the marine!
Short hair all the time.I really don't understand why my mum kept chopped off my hair each time it reached or exceed my shoulder.
Thus,I never have a longer than shoulder length of hair.

WHY SO JAKUN THAT TIME??T_T

That is,until I was 16 (I think so).
I finally have the authority over my own hair..wahhahaa!!!Super lame and vain.X_X

Ahh...I just love weekend.
Currently muching on a a peanut butter pancake with the help of a cup of milk ..
Drove someone off at the airport earlier and that's where I got the pancake.
The thought of someone selling pancake in college?...maybe 10 years to come.

Too much things on my mind last night..wanted to let it all out via words but ...

My first time bought this stupid GIANT A4 PAPER.
Before this i'm a regular client for DOUBLE AA A4 PAPER.sorry lo cause chose GIANT over DOUBLE AA.Now so regret.

Didn't really expect it is this bad want.
Well,I do know that it is not of good quality like DOUBLE AA,but why I bought it was because ....I need to save money la.So easy.

Well,the thing is that I have two sheets,DOUBLE AA and GIANT'S.
DOUBLE AA is for assignment while GIANT'S is for unimportant stuff,like printing notes for myself or name list and all that.

So happened to be that DOUBLE AA finished already,so have to use GIANT'S paper to print my assignment.

440 SHEETS OF PAPER!*pun intended
The paper is too thin or what,I also don't know,that it would stucked in my printer.Marked that,IN MY PRINTER.So it would just stucked there and gone mad for a while.Which require me to pull the paper out!

Some more,if the paper did managed to go through,it would be DOUBLE paper.What I mean is that the printer might have dis-detect that the paper is one piece,when actually it was two pieces.So it would came out with one paper got somethig printed on it,while another extra blank paper behind.

Keningau

Was on a trip to Keningau from 29th April-2nd May 2011.
It was great,except for the journey.The Kalabakan road.I mean the condition of the road,it was graveled,but lotsa pothole and bumpy here and there.Knocked my head a few times as well.

Keningau is like 5 or 6 hours drive from Tawau,that is via the graveled road.Thus,strongly recommended for a 4WD vehicle only.Unless you don't love your car anymore.lol
If you want a better road condition,which is tarred,then I would suggest the main road,passing through Ranau,which gonna cost you double,a long 12 hours drive.
You choose.

My friends and I took the former as our ride was a 4WD Hilux.

As we arrived Keningau earlier,my friend took me round the town and did some shopping.Daaa...again,I'm a big spender.:(
Not much places to go as it is a small town,still considered as a Pekan,which means smaller than Bandar Tawau.
However,I personally think that it LOOKS way better than Tawau.Don't ask me why.:p

Then we headed to my friend's to wait for the whole team to arrive.
The thing was that this was a church trip,where we as a church team came all the way from Tawau to visit this another church in Keningau.
So we took off one day earlier while the others took off the next morning.
So as we had arrived,we need to wait for the whole team (where they took the 12 hours drive route) to arrive before we could proceed to the church and meet the people there.

Upon arrival,I felt so blessed as we received a warm and cordial welcome from the church members there...eventhough it was raining that time!
We really didn't expect the mini ceremony of welcoming us as it was already late.

Each of us was given a handkerchief as a souvenir.:D

All of us were supposed to stay at the church as they had prepared accomodation for us.
However,since one of my friends is from Keningau itself and want to spent the night at her home that night,I went to stay at her house that night.

By morning,we came back and met the others at the church again.

During sermon.

It was free time for us in the afternoon.We tried to take a nap but after a while, the weather just seemed indecisive as it rained after a scorching hot afternoon.We were sweating and felt uneasy of the weather.
So a cosy moment at a KFC restaurant was the best way to kill time and at the same time,savouring the moment.
By evening, there was a friendly futsal match among the church members,we went to the court just to watch as we didn't bring along our sport attire.

As night approaching,went back and get ready for the night service.
We did led the night service as well and after everything ended,we went to a Murut Village called Salarom Taka in Nabawan,a 2 hours drive from Keningau.
There was this celebration to be held on the next day,the 5th anniversary of the village and there would be a mini parade and feast.Yah..food food food!

As the service ended around 11pm that night,we went for supper before headed to the village.
Funny how we talked about the numerous night clubs available in Keningau as the place we ate was surrounded with a few night clubs.
How my friend went in when she was still underage and so on.
One day,I would love to go in and see how it goes in there!Sight-seeing only!lol.

Looks can be deceiving..hehehe.Get it ,get it?

Just in case you still don't get it,what I'm trying to say is that IT WAS NOT BEER,CHINESE TEA ONLY.tq.=_=.

Done with our supper,err well not really considered as supper as it was a rather heavy meal. Butter prawns,steamed fish,Meat rolls,Kangkung fried with belacan....blurrppp!!

Then off we go to Salarom Taka.
It hit midnight as we departed that night.

We had a few laughs in the car on how to pronounce the word IPAG (sounds like e-parg),means brother in Dusun.
As a non-dusun/Sabahan,at first I just can't help but to mispronounced it over and over again as IPAK with a /k/ consonant ending.
I don't know why but they found it was hilarious when I mispronounced it with a /k/ending.
I guessed it sounds silly to them.And heck yeah,it was quite hard to pronounce theword with a /g/ ending.+_=

But in the end,I eventually did it after practicing it a few times and guided by my Dusun friends,compared to my another Murut friend which still can't pronounce it correctly til now.hehehehhe..*proud.:p

We passed out in the car as it had been a long tiring day.

My bleary eyes read the watch as 2.30am as we arrived the village.
Dang!!!Passed out after been showed our room.hahahha..

We was impressed of the house.
Sure,it was a guest house but we didn't really expect there was these nice cosy beds for us to sleep on.
2 hours plus drive away from the nearest town and with no cellular reception,this was quite impressing.

Found out that the village is in the progress of developing into a better place and had been developed rapidly.In conjunction with the 5th Anniversary, there was also this special ceremony of the penyerahan kunci rumah to the selected villager.

See,the thing is that the government had granted a special programme of building lots of houses for the villagers. You know,one of the steps to achive the 2020 Vision,which is by improving the lifestyle of the people.

Therefore,there was this mini parade being held where the Yang Berhormat will be having a short parade around the lots of houses with the villagers.

I am being helpful by holding the flags.hehehe

Paling penting....UNDILAH BN....LOL

After stuffed ourself with all those glorious food,we took some time to sit back,relax and enjoy the moment. Someone even took her nap!lol.sempat owh..but was then awaken as the heat struck again once the generator was turned off after the ceremony and feast.Meaning no fan,light nor any lectrical appliances.

Just a serene village with villager chattering and catching up with one another as those adults with their family from the town came back to spend quality times with the elders...

Exhausted,otw back to Tawau.

Reflection ahead....ahahhaha...

In a nutshell,I was overwhelmed by the trip,especially the food!!Gosh,I really think that God had blessed us a lot of food throughout the trip,more than our wants and needs!Too bad I didn't manage to snap every food consumed and tell you guys about it as I was obviously busy enjoying the food.hahahha.Well,not really as the thing is,I don't see myself as a food critic.If you asked me too,I might commented every food as "nice" and "not nice" only..nothing about texture,taste or even "God know what other adjectives to be used".
Yah,I just don't have food expertise and my vocabulary of adjective is LIMITED.Only know to say sweet,bitter,salty,...*trying to figure out more but I think that's all I have in my memory.*vain.T_T.

Anyway,I'm trying to improve myself by listing out all the unseen,seen but don't know meaning and new words ..and put it in my 'words of the day' list.Will blog about it next time!If rajin.=_=

Finally..I'm carefree..after going through all the assignment, quiz and oral presentation..
Just done with the Linguistic oral presentation this afternoon.
Gosh,I was really hoping that my turn for the oral presentation would be the next day..but I was so 'lucky' enough for being called out randomly by the lecturer to present my coursework project on Morphology.
Damn, I was not well-prepared and the words uttered out was like ABC,as in Air Batu Campur.Kept repeating the same words and some bloody sentence that I didn't realized came out,that I don't understand.At some points,was like "What did I just said?Didn't even make sense!"
Unorganized and nervous I was.
My brain was like malfunction.It would only analyze the words AFTER I said it out,not BEFORE.Geeezzzz.
And uh.. I don't even get any question or comment from the lecturer, when actually all my previous friends been questioned and commented for at least once.I got NOTHING,as in NIL.Only a short 'Thank you' after I done with the presentation.What was that????
Did I just nailed it wtfish or did even the lecturer think that what I presented don't even make sense and out of the topic?Gosh,I'm thinking of the latter.*Sigh

But anyway,by looking on the bright side, I am totally done with that and need not to worry about it anymore.Yeahhhhh..sedapkan hati la kunun.
So happy now..but only for a while I guessed. The lecturer told us that we're gonna work on a mini project next week,am wondering what is it all about.
Well,my wild guess would be something to do with exhibition that is going to be held next week...hurm,can't be sure yet.
So there it goes,another busy week ahead. Not to mention those ISL(Independent Self-Learning) portfolio to be submitted in the same week as well.:(

Anyway!!!!Am off to KENINGAU this weekend.For ministry purpose.Will be coming back on Monday as it is going to be a public holiday,in conjunction for the cuti peristiwa for Labour day which fall on Sunday...I think la.Hahah..sebarang saja.

It was taken when I was in a short trip to Semporna,Sabah. Bukit Tengkorak to be exact.Last February. Still remember I ponteng a briefing on camping in the campus just to join this 1 day trip..hahahah.And it was planned out of the blue!LOL.Crazy kan?
I'm sure this place sound familiar to some people.Cause this place is mentioned in SEJARAH.Something to so with Zaman Neolitik I think.
Eh,guess what?It is called The Skull Hill, or even maybe The Mount of Skull when it is translated to English. lawl
The tourist must be expecting skull there.But nolah, actually it is just used to be an archaeology site.
And maybe they first found skull there before.

Talking about history,the good news is that the museum which is recently just complete it's construction is going to be opened by April I think.So IF just in case anyone is planning to go there,please go there AFTER APRIL 2011.If not,no museum on history of the place for you.

This was my 2nd time there,so I think I would go there again just to visit the museum next time.I AM QUITE SURE GOT SKULL WANT.Museum ma,they can keep it refrigenated or what in the museum kan.
So I am sure to take picture with it later.hahaha.Til that day come,I will post the picture here.

The only good thing about this place is the view once you reached up there.

1 week holiday was not enough.*Holiday is always not enough right?
My holiday,this time was albeit different.
Before this,my holiday was always with parents.
As my brothers were not around.

This time around,as KD had went off to KL(place) to start his world of working,KL(my brother) is around as we are in the same field,Teacher to be.
Which means,our holiday falls on the same period and we came home at the same time.
So,KL is with me for this holiday,while KA is stucked in Mukah with his project,which I assumed final project as he is finishing his Diploma pretty soon.

What happened when KL is around?

So I'm happy to be his company.

It was fun actually.
Spending some quality time with my brother.
More like a bonding time (as always mentioned by CY).
See,we are not that close as siblings.
They are just so quiet.
Don't really talk that much. So as the youngest one,I just live in these kind of situation and learn from my brothers. I am the only girl and also the youngest one,so since I am little I try to fit in with them so that they want to play with me.
I watch them and obey them.All 3 of them.
The first one tend to be quiet,second tend to be the kind one,and the third one is the naughtiest one.What about me?the mixture of all.I guessed so.

Now,I do think that I am closer to my friend rather than my siblings.
I think there are people like this too,right?
But still,I love my family.No matter what.

I love my dad for he is the best advice giver.It irritates me when he kept on telling the same thing over and over again,then I missed it when nobody is here to keep reminding me on every trifle stuff.
I love my mom for nagging me.I am annoyed when she does it,but I miss it when I am away from her.No more voices of her and it just felt different.
I love my 3 heroes.3 good-looking one.I felt left out when they just ignored me when we are together,but then I love it for they are protective over me and care about me.They look cold but deep inside,they are sweet.=)

And so,when holiday is approaching it's finish line,I am still okay.
But absence is what that makes the heart grow fonder.
I missed them when I am away.When they are out of my sight...
Even when I am at a place where I used to call 'home'.My hometown,where I grew up,Bakong.
I still miss them.Cause they are not with me here.
Remembered vividly that night,I texted my brother:
'Aiya,I miss home ord arr..eventhough in bkg..'
He replied bluntly:
'Bakong is ur home palui(stupid).Go sleep early,nid to wake up early tomoro.'
End. I did ever think how nicer it would be to have an elder sister.

Anyway,I love them for however they are.
Called me whatever you want,but I think it is nothing wrong to miss your family this damn much.
I just love to be with my family,eventhough we don't really show it that much.

So now why did I went back to my hometown,not college?
That is because I was attending a compulsory programme, SBE (School-based Experience) in SK Beluru Central,Bakong.
This programme requires us to go to a school,get to know the school,get used to the environment in a school,the students,the activities and all that.It's just like an orientation.Except teaching,we are still not eligible for that.

So the real holiday had ended for me.I was back in my hometown on Sunday evening,preparing myself for the 5 days in school experience,from 21st-25th March 2011.

SBE

Monday:
God has granted a very good day that morning.It was a sunny morning.A perfect day for the morning assembly.There were 4 of us.We arrived early that morning,around 6.30am. Went to see the headmaster but there ain't any in that school so far.PK 1 was not around,but PK HEM was.So we met him.

Something I forgot to mention was that,that school was part of my childhood.This was where I grew up,where my father was once a teacher there,head of the school to be exact.So some of the teachers that worked with my father before are still there and they recognised me.
Cg. Francis is the PK HEM there. After introduced ourselves to him, we were welcomed to join the assembly that morning.
Gosh,it had been years and lots of thing had changed.Positive changes.Eventhough I never studied there,I lived in that schoo..I can see the difference between now and then. The students getting fewer and err...smaller,in size,literally!
And gosh,didn't even realized that I had forgotten most of the lyric for the state song Sarawak Ibu Pertiwiku.

We were quite busy on our first day that morning, gathered data about the the school,went around the school compound,meet the staff and even entered two classes,with Cg Francis.The kids were energetic and naive at the same time.Still,they were adorable and very excited each time saw us passing by.

Tuesday:

Arrived school around 6:50am.We started to feel bored.Don't really know what to do next,when actually there were tonnes of task to be done.

Don't know what to do that someone is trimming her own hair.gotcha!

So we decided to enter a class again,with another teacher,Cg Josephine.This time,the student in this class is more clever and active.They knew what to answer and paid full attention to the teacher. I was impressed. After recess,we decided to join the MBI thingy,after got the permission from Cg Lahung.It was actually a normal class in the computer lab where they are using technology(computer) to teach English in class.We watched how the session was conducted and helping out by guiding some of the students.After the MBI session ended,we went out and off to the library.
In the afternoon,we came at 3.30pm to see how is the kelas agama conducted as we were needed to write about the student's spiritual development.
At 4,once again we followed Cg Francis ,for the English Club meeting.They were taught to play Scrabble and we assisted them on how to play the game.Woah,it had been a while since I played.My brain was like hit on the F5 button,refreshed:SCRABBLE!I can't even remembered how many tiles to take for the first player.=____=.

Wednesday:

Reached around 6:45am.The PK1 is around today.As a matter in fact,he is the first teacher we met once we reached the staff room.So we greeted him and introduced ourself. He was fast and efficient.He even let us have the headmaster's office/room .Soon,we were given a schedule each.A sit-in schedule. As there were few teachers not around,we were instructed to enter their classes. My first class with Stiffi was 6H. They were quiet and shy.So there were not much for us to do except instructed them to do their homework. Then went in to 2B, 3K,6J and lastly 2K.I found out that it is kinda hard to handle the class, especially when the students are super-naughty.And I now realized why some of the teachers are fierce at times,and seek help from rotan. My dad did told me about this matter too.I wondered how am I going to be so,both lenient and strict...

After lunch, took my nap. Around 2pm,I was awaked by my mom..she called me:
Mom: where r u now?
Me: emm...home.
Mom: sleeping?
Me: emmm...(still half-conscious)
Mom: can you come up now?(as in drive to Miri)
Me: why...
Mom: Daddy's car fall down in the parit...

I was snapped out from the lala land. After a few calls,found out that my father was involved in an accident.A self-accident. He lost control and crashed to the side of the road..the bush..straight into a small stream..
I was supposed to go to the school observe the gerko,so I can't make it,leaving only CY and Leng.
Off I went to the scene..it was about 30 minutes drive..Not even in Miri,it was actually on the way to Miri,somewhere a place called kejapil.
First thing I saw was my dad,standing beside the road.
Then,I looked around,searching for the car whereabouts..

Woh,didn't really expect the car skided so far away from the road..
It was a straight road,not even a sharp corner nor bumpy road.
I asked my dad how did it happened.
Said that it was raining..the car just skided and yes,he admitted that he drove quite fast that time..
So poeple,drive safely and always remember to put on your seat belt.
I know my dad must had put on his as he always do so.
Don't ever understimate the importance of seat belt huh!Because of that and of course,under God's protection,my dad was leaved fine without even one scratch.

So it took like 2 or 3 hours for them to pull the car out from the bush...

Then,we stopped by the school as my dad wanted to sign some document before drove back to Bakong...
END OF A FATEFUL DAY..

Thursday:

Dad drove us to the school this morning. He then drove himself back to Miri as mom need her ride to work that afternoon.
Not much thing to do today...we first entered 1B with Cg Lahung to observe the P&P in the class.

I found out that they don't really understand the language and even used Malay and Iban to respond,something very common for every class we had entered last few days.And most prabably they are still new,Year 1.After that,we stayed in the office before entering another class. Leng and CY went to observe another English class of Cg. Lahung while I accompanied Stiffi to 1B to take the measurement of their weight and height.It was part of her assignment .

Afternoon.Took my nap and too lazy to go to school for the gerko.Plus,we don't have transportation to get there.
We decided to go over to CY's that evening,5 something.
Her place is at the pasar, which is one of the gateway to civilization.You see,my place is kinda far from the town and the reception is very poor for internet connection.So we don't really have other way other than going to her place to do our works,which I don't.hahaha...cause I blogged and Facebooking most of the time..;p.Leng did.

We called it a day.
Tomorrow is gonna be our final day.Then,off we go,back to Sabah.Oh,did I mentioned that this time,we're gonna drive there.So,it's gonna be a long and tiring journey!'CANT WAIT!'.YAH RIGHT.pffttttt.=_=

Friday:

CY fetched Leng and I this morning.Going around the school to get signature from the teachers and staff,for collaboration purpose..Then at 10am,we entered 4B to execute the so called assignment to be done with the students,a make believe play.We didn't really expect the English teacher to be coming in with us too,letting the pressure to pressurize us.We thought the teacher was going to let us have her class and she was going to do something else.Tuned out it wasn't.Gosh.We just want everything to end ASAP. It was more like a practicum already and the teacher seemed like giving us grade on how we conduct our P&P.
Overall,we did quite well and the students seemed enjoyed it.

As we were going to get to Tawau by car,we need to get off earlier that morning.The plan was to arrive KK tonight,latest by 11pm.So we need to move our ass ASAP and get ready for the trip.So after getting the permission from the PK1,we headed home and got everything ready.We started off around 2pm from Miri and reached KK around 11pm,just as planned.

Praise God for that as we did went to the wrong way before and wasted around 1hours to drive back to the main road.Despite of that,we did managed to get on schedule.
But the scary part is that CY's father,Uncle Hwong drove quite fast and..furious.Even CY herself,admitted that her father is quite an aggresive overtaker,ovetaking cars most of the time.He was like in a racing!I was alert and awake most of the time as I just don't dare to close my eyes.Each time I thought we were going to crash,I held my breath aloud,making CY to keep reminding her dad to slow down.But he just so calm and told us to be relax....at one point,he even said 'Realx,it's JUST 110,see that car ahead of us,i think he just hit 140.'Speechless.o_o

Satuday:

Konomen for breakfast..Tawau's is still the best so far!

From KK,we embarked on another 10 hours drive,to reach Tawau.
Overall,it was a rainy and longggggggggggggggggggggggg journey.
I even drove from Telupid to Lahad Datu,a 3 hours non-stop drive.*Proud.
Hehe...the fastest I can go is 110.
And I'm proud to say that I managed to overtake 2 trailers,something very scary to me.Fuhhh..
Arrived campus at about 1830pm.
And I miss home like crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Went on FB,just realized that it was Earth Hour night.
For the 2nd time,I'm alone for the Earth Hour.
CY had went to the town with her parents,where they spent the night in hotel.
I'm not really in the mood for Earth Hour and therefore,only turned off the main light,turning on the study light.
I guessed I was exhausted that I didn't realized I fall asleep right in front of the laptop...
Turned off everything at God knows what time was it and then crashed on bed.

Sunday:
I woke up late.And was late for church.Mom texted me whether I'm going to chucrch or not.I told her I didn't.Told me to read Bible and pray.Something to share:"Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer~Be faithful,even to death & I will give you the crown of life.Rv 2:10"

Starting a new day tomorrow...back to the hectic life..Can't wait to get back HOME again..til that day to come again..

Trouble with layout

Yah..was so bored(when actually there's piles of assignment to be done .Boo yah assignment!=p) that I decided to do some so called 'experiment' on changing/customizing my layout.

I think I spent almost 3 hours on this.
Got to bumped into this cool skin.I like it!But then...I have no idea how to do the border.See,damn ugly.
Tried to do it tranparent,but then the skin is too bright and there was no way to read the wording,unless you are really colour blind.Daaa...

At last,was too sleepy to figure out how and then ended up just like this.Hahaha.
I know,look so plain and geek(?).

Going out for handphone hunting tonight!Hope I can find the right one!:)
